We provide affordable rental housing for people breaking out from homelessness for 6 years. In Hungary there are few rental houses owned by local municipalities thus we designed the model of managing private flats for social housing purposes. The agency besides managing private homes, sets up mobile houses, builds tiny homes involving external investments which are paid back from the rental fee.

Utcáról Lakásba! Egyesület wants to set a precedent. To show that the “Housing First” approach works, also for those who have lived outdoors or in huts in the forest near Budapest. To show that apartments are not there for speculation, but for living. To motivate participation in the “renovation days” and demonstrations for affordable housing. Always following the principle: To jointly help those affected to improve their situation, to give them a voice, to facilitate communication, to build bridges. Innovative persistence in practical solutions as well as defining and tackling the causes.
