People without insurance who live permanently in Austria can contact two surgeries while remaining fully anonymous: some 70 doctors, therapists, interpreters and assistants voluntarily offer outpatient general medical care. The care provided includes specialist examinations, help with medication, monitoring of pregnancies and infant care, counselling and psychosocial crisis advice; health care in the form of health circles for women is currently also offered in Bulgarian, Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian, Chinese, Russian and English. The range of services is continually being expanded and demand is increasing.
