In cooperation with the two AIDS-wards of AKH and Otto Wagner Hospital, HIV-positive people are looked after at home in accordance with the primary nursing approach. Mobile care and medical assistance of the often young patient require specific knowhow with regard to the clinical picture. An early beginning of care often implies accompaniment of many years by a team of doctors and nurses, sometimes stretching into terminal care.
Financed from the very beginning by donations from Life Aid (AIDS ball), a service agreement has been signed in 2004 with the municipality of Vienna.
